Before purchasing this double Stainles steel bin, we had 3 separate bins, in 3 different sizes, one large, one medium and one small, and it looked terrible in our kitchen, so I thought it was time for a change, and when I saw this bin from Dunelm I thought it would be perfect.
This bin replaces the large and medium bins, one for recycling, the other for general household waste, the smallest bin is for food waste, which to honest we don’t have a lot in a week, so the small bin we have is perfect for that, so we didn’t need a bin with three 20 litre bins.
A feature which was a welcome surprise, was the little hole in the back of each bin, you use this to stretch the top of the liner then push the excess through the hole to keep the bin liner in place and neat and tidy, on our old been we had to use large elastic bands to hold the bin liner in place.
I also like that the bin has separate pedals for each bin, so you only have to open the bin that you want to use at that particular time.
Another fearure I didn’t expect was the inbuilt storage compartment for replaceable filters, which I thought was a nice touch.
And last but not least, is the soft close lids, on my old ones, when removing my foot from the pedal, the lids would slam shut making a lot of noise, this was especially annoying at night as sometimes it would wake my wife.
Overall, a great double stainless steel bin which I would highly recommend.

Not too big, perfect for a medium size kitchen. Being able to open both sections with the foot pedals is really practical when you’ve got something messy in your hands. We use one side for waste, the other for recycling.

This bin has two seperate decent sized compartments. Ideally could be a little bit bigger but they are a good space saver for a smaller kitchen.

This is an ideal waste bin for us. Before coming across it, we were like Goldilocks and the three bears, trying to find one – and we looked at so many. For our kitchen, other bins were too large, too small, or too industrial-looking for our needs and taste. This bin is attractive with an easy clean finish and we are very pleased with it. As Goldilocks would say, it is ” Just right”! 🙂
